Ella’s blue smokey eye/ nude lip

Hey guys!

Sorry for not posting in a while,  we have been extremely busy lately, but we are back now:) I decided to recreate this blue smokey eye today, I think it helps emphasize any eye color and can be worn anywhere from a night out to a holiday party. This is an easier version of a smokey eye, it has only three main steps and you do not need a lot of precision with it. I was inspired by a beautiful blue color from the Sleek palette you will see in the pictures. It is a matte blue color. I like that it is very intense and  has a great lasting power, perfect for crazy nights out! Here is the before and after:

The steps:

1. Apply a matte blue color all over the lid with a flat brush. Make sure you pack it on the lid carefully, without taking it far too much  up beyond your crease or blending it too much. We want an intense color, not a faded one on the lid. Take a bit of the same blue color under the eye with a flat or pointed brush since it  allows you more precision.

2. Take a fluffy brush and using a matte brown color apply it in the crease, lightly blending the edges of that blue color we applied earlier. This process might take a while, since these are highly pigmented colors. Also, matte colors are always harder to blend, but they last longer and help create more intense looks. Just take your time blending it until there are no harsh edges. Add a matte white highlight color under the brow bone using a flat brush, lightly blending it into the brown color.

Step 3: Using a gel liner, line your top lash line, your waterline and under your eye. Make sure you don’t line it too thick on your top lash line and don’t wing it, just stop in the outer corner of your eye. Using a gel liner to me is easier because you don’t have to be so precise and it is much easier to smudge when needed. However, when it dries out it is very resistant and does not smudge. Add a good coat of mascara on your top and bottom lashes and a nude lipstick. You can also add a nude lip gloss on top for extra shine. Oh, and I forgot to mention, I added a bright peach matte color on the cheeks from another Sleek blush palette to add a bit more color to the face since we kept the lips so nude. Voila!
